Noi obiective pentru dezvoltarea durabilă

A future development program will be adopted by world leaders at the Special Summit on Sustainable Development in September 2015 in New York. The states have agreed on the draft outcome document that will build on the previous successes of the eight Millennium Development Goals adopted in 2000. The goals set out in the draft program for after 2015 go further, by addressing the root causes of poverty and the universal sustainable development needs of all peoples. In carrying out the program, an important role will be played by national institutions for human rights.

Spre un nou drept fundamental al omului – dreptul la demnitate

Human rights are nothing else than certain standards attained by each political state and social system having as central issue the human being defined as being abstract and rational. They are the international, regional and also European standards of the subjective and fundamental rights, regulated by a state, by its Constitution and by the laws for the residents of that respective state, according to which the abstract and rational person is thus converted into a citizen or a foreigner. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is the first and most important international document which stipulates the need to defend human dignity, even if the Declaration is attached to the rights, but non-embedded in their category.

Human dignity and bioethics

The author presents and thoroughly analyzes the Convention of Oviedo for the protection of human rights and dignity of the human being with regard to the application of biology and medicine, an international legal instrument taking into account the various ethical, social and legal aspects of their impact. The basic idea to be found in the international documents devoted to the defence of Man's dignity, as an individual and as a species, is that the development of biology and the correlated sciences should primarily be done in the service of Man and only secondly in the service of science. The recent developments in the field of biomedical sciences and technologies tend to confer Man an immediate and uncontrolled power of managing his own biologic individuality with major risks for the universal and defining values of the human being. Bioethics is a new field that emerged in parallel with the huge step forward made by biomedical sciences in the last decades of the previous century. For a long time it has mainly been concerned with the technological developments in medicine while neglecting the moral and the legal aspects. At present, specialists in medicine, law, ethics, etc., take efforts to reconcile the technological evolution in medicine, particularly in the field of genetics, with the personality of the patient, who is a set of several „tissues" but a soul as well, with public control upon the development of genetic technologies, with the physician's uncontrolled power, with the profit making vs. the moral criteria, and with the legal norms. The weight each of these has at one moment or another in the evolution of society can lead to changes that may result in a loss of society's balance, which is quite fragile anyway. It is the present solutions – moral and legal – to the challenges raised by the biomedical sciences and technologies that the future of mankind and ultimately the future of the human species depends on.

Familia – responsabilități în domeniul educației

Education is a complex and long-lasting process which begins at an early stage and continues throughout the whole life of the individual. It is a process of personal development training that prepares the individual as an active element of society. The family has an important role in educating children, supporting children from an early age and instilling respect for moral values and civic action which can be a model for young people who should become citizens of the community with a sense of responsibility, self-respect, self-confidence, with a correct and constructive mind set, treating people with respect and knowing how to make themselves respected by others. Education is the most important component of society which fully justifies supporting the involvement and responsibility of parents in the education and development of children, so that the positive effects could be extended for a long-term By investing in education we invest in the future, and this is without doubt the most important investment a person can make, since the support of education is a requirement, and an undeniable necessity.

Despre dreptul la accesibilitate al persoanelor cu dizabilități

Accessibility of public space is essential for the full enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities and is a general obligation of states, by ratifying the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. However, better enforcement at national level of the legislation on mandatory accessibility of the physical environment, information and communications, along with more effective control of the relevant institutions could create the prerequisites for accessibility of public space.

Modele de organizare a serviciilor medicale spitalicești în țări din Europa

A health system can be viewed as a set of markets, interacting and interdependent while the institutionalized market of medical services is one of the links in this ensemble, being among the institutions that make up this market: hospitals, sanitariums, Balneoclimateric treatment facilities, specialized tertiary care centers etc. Public discourse focuses on hospitals for reasons both considering the significant volume of financial and human capital that is associated with them, as well as the increased flow of patients they support. The clinical context where patients have immediate access to hospital services is one of the reasons that public perception is often resistant to adopting market conditions in this sector. Financing the health sector is an essential factor for the organization and functioning of any health care system. Health care policy is closely tied to the financing sources of health services.
